Deja Vu All Over Again

The three Windows 7/8.1 updates have returned and brought the warmed-over KB 3138612 and 3138615 Windows Update patches with them.

Windows 10 Update Goes from ‘Optional’ to ‘Recommended’

“Microsoft has bumped up Windows 10 from being an “optional update” in Windows Update to being a “recommended update”, which could lead to some unexpected migrations…The status change will likely mean that some Windows7/Windows8.1 users will experience this notice in the notice of a surprise, namely an unexpected upgrade to Windows 10. Traditionally, Windows Update served as just a patch mechanism, rather than an operating system upgrade solution…”
